Sam Riddle
Sam Riddle is an Honorably Discharged Viet-Nam Era Veteran that acquired a G.E.D. after dropping out of high school to enlist. Sam earned a B.A. degree from Michigan State University's James Madison College with a major in ethnic and religious intergroup relations. Riddle received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School.
Sam Riddle has over 45 years of experience in management, political and media consulting with an emphasis on crisis management.
Sam currently serves as a Senior Fellow with the internationally acclaimed anti-poverty think tank PuLSE Institute. Sam is Political Director for the Michigan Chapter of the National Action Network where he has confronted corporate welfare, systemic racism and advocated for single mothers; was a columnist for The Michigan Citizen ‘Detroit Raw’.
Riddle was a founder of "The Flint Voice" newspaper with filmmaker Michael Moore whom Riddle worked with on the Academy Award winning film Bowling for Columbine. Sam still serves as spokesman for the family of Isaiah Shoels the only Black student slain during the Columbine High School Massacre in 1999. Sam and the Shoels family met with President Bill Clinton and the First Lady Hillary to discuss combating school violence in the aftermath of Columbine.
Riddle appears as a political commentator addressing national politics, poverty and Flint Water Crisis issues for WVON Talk of Chicago and other mainstream TV & radio stations. Recently Sam was featured on filmmaker Michael Moore's 'Rumble' podcast celebrating 25 million downloads. Sam is also host of Riddle@Random on Detroit 910AM SUPERSTATION;

Mayor Duggan to visit Minister Shabazz this morning
(Detroit,MI 6/21/2024) -
Minister Malik Shabazz, leader of the New Black Panther Nation/Marcus Garvey Movement, will welcome old friend Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan this morning (11:30 AM) at the Regency Heights Nursing and Rehab Center 19100 W. Seven Mile Road Detroit, MI 48219.
Prior to rehabilitation treatment in October, Shabazz had been on a respirator, received a temporary then permanent heart pump implant; subsequently battled an infection and continued to improve after suffering a massive heart attack in June 2023.
Minister Shabazz believes that Mayor Duggan may be one of his last visitors before Shabazz is cleared to go home.

I have been blessed through prayer and community wide support that has assisted the healing process to the point where I believe I will be medically cleared to go home,” said Shabazz.

The family expresses heartfelt gratitude for community wide support and prayers for Shabazz and is deeply appreciative of the care provided Minister Malik Shabazz.
